Attorney Kathryn Burmeister

An experienced Associate Attorney, Kathryn has a demonstrated history of working in the law practice industry.  As part of the legal team at Sutlive & Associates, Kathryn focuses on trying a variety of different types of personal injury cases, including truck, car and motorcycle accidents, dog bite injuries, medical malpractice, premises liability, product liability and others. She is passionate about helping clients and giving those who have been injured a voice in the courtroom.

Kathryn, an Atlanta native and graduate of the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University, has worked in the legal community for over ten years. Before joining Sutlive & Associates, LLC, Kathryn was an Associate Attorney at another Atlanta-based personal injury firm in Atlanta, Georgia. Managing hundreds of property damage and personal injury claims, she negotiated with private health companies regarding claims and developed winning case strategies to help clients obtain beneficial results. She also spent time as a law clerk for notable personal injury firms as well as a judicial clerk for an Atlanta State Court judge. Prior to law school, Kathryn clerked with one of the largest and renowned defense firms in the Southeast, which gave her perspective that she has carried with her throughout her career.

Kathryn’s passion for helping others extends to her time outside of work. She currently sits on the Board of Ahimsa House, which is dedicated to addressing the link between domestic violence and animal cruelty by offering services and assistance to victims of domestic violence with pets in Georgia. She also sits on her neighborhood Board of Directors. 

In her spare time, Kathryn rock climbs, hikes, reads, and spends time with her husband and rescue pets, which consist of five cats and one dog.
